SHADE OF BLUE

I received a beautiful postcard from Elizabeth. If you are familiar with her Postcard Project, you know that there are many stamps, stickers and thoughtful message at the back.

The efforts she put in to complete just one postcard is extraordinary. Because of her daily multiple strokes and seizures, she has serious memory problem. So, she has to do some research to remember who I am, what we talked about last time, what I like, what is important to me and etc.

Then she handwrites the message. I sometimes cannot write much because of pain, cramps, weakness or fatigue in my hand. Her condition is much worse than me, but she determines to write messages to hundreds of friends.

And I’m always surprised by her choice and taste in selection of the postcard especially for me, and the kind messages that always makes me smile.

This one is her contribution to my Shade of Blue. She used different shades of blue on stamps and stickers, and wondered if one of them is my favourite shade of blue. My favourite shade turned out to be the picture above.
