MRI is Confirmed

Posted Jun 24 2008 5:06pm

I had a phone call from the Logan Hospital on Monday, and received a mail today to confirm the MRI reservation on Monday the 16th.

My GP will organise the Ambulance Transport at my next appointment.

This is what I am going to do. After the MRI, I will see the Neurologist again. And I am going to print outA Clinical Case Definition and Guidelines for Medical Practitioners: An Overview of the Canadian Consensus Document, and will give it to her.

At the moment, she doesn’t know about ME/CFS. So we really don’t know what her opinion about ME/CFS until she learns about it.

I don’t know what kind of person she is, so the chances are

  1. She takes this as an insult to her profession, or
  2. She takes this as a learning opportunity, then will show some interests in ME/CFS

From my gut feelings of the last appointment, she didn’t have any negative feelings towards me as a person. So I am hoping that her reaction will be the (2) and she will become one of respectable Neurologists in ME/CFS community…

Am I dreaming? Maybe… But I will never know if I didn’t try.
