Firstly, apologies for taking so long to reply to comments. I hopefully have replied to all just now.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, and that some of you have been worried. There has been a lot going on, leaving me with no time to write on my blog. I was on a treatment for three weeks which was a particularly hellish experience on that combination. Then I only had a short time off before I had to start another one. Although I am making some improvements, like much more freedom with energy when walking, my doc felt that there was still some serious parties been thrown by all the little buggers living within Treya Land, so he put me on a much more aggressive treatment regime: lots of IV, mixed with orals and only short breaks in between treatments.
I have to say though, I am definitely improving! It took me a while to get over that last awful treatment, but I'm now on the IV and the herx reaction is so much weaker than when I first started IV back in January, which is very encouraging. The biggest thing for me is that my energy has improved. I can walk for 20 mins slowly, but comfortable with no struggle, and most of all, with no yawning, which is a big thing as I yawned excessively when I walked ever since getting sick, and generally felt deprived of oxygen.
Due to the above improvement I'm considering adopting a dog! I've put in the application. I feel it is the next step in my recovery. I feel a dog will be really good for me, and I can be a great companion for a dog. I shall let you know if my application was successful...
As I have only been having such short breaks in between treatments I've been trying to fit in my whole life into a few days. Things like seeing family, trying to do my writing course (which has to be finished by the end of August. I think someone will be needing ANOTHER extension :-) ), helping out a friend, trying to maintain some form or a normal relationship with my hubby by going away for a night. So fear not. Yes, I was quite unwell on my last treatment and over the last while, but I have had some few days here and there where I've tried t o fit in some living :-)
I'm very keen to getting back to my blog on a regular basis, and I've been trying my best to do my writing course. I'm currently working on a new short story.
That's it really for now. I must go now as I have to go for my daily IV. Fun, fun, fun.........
