The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has formed an interagency scientific working group on XMRV. The Blood XMRV Scientific Research Working Group will report to the Department’s Blood, Organ and Tissue Senior Executive Council through established mechanisms. No formal statement has been issued yet, but the working group includes representatives from the DHHS Office of Public Health and Science, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The working group will have scientific responsibilities for investigation of XMRV as it relates to the blood supply and CFS. Suzanne D. Vernon, PhD, the CFIDS Association’s scientific director, has been asked to participate in the XMRV scientific working group. To read more please click on the following link.

NEVER trust the CDC when it comes to CFIDS. They have damaged CFIDS research for 30 years and that is NOT going to change regardless of a deadly Retrovirus. They killed off Retrovirus research by Dr. DeFreitas in the mid 1980's and very well could have made HUGE strides in real CFIDS research (cause/cure) as well as cancer and other diseases that MAY be caused by the XMRV virus.
We ALL must continue to watch the CDC/CFS and the Mental Health program that William Reeves has moved to. Now Reeves can do even more damage to CFIDS since he is not in the CFIDS shop and not visible or accountable to anyone. This is a far more lethal situation than having that moron in the CDC/CFS program. Time to retire Bill and go play golf.
