Your Vote Could Greatly Impact Your Healthcare, Social Security, and Medicare

I was registering voters yesterday at one of our local colleges and was delighted to see the tremendous numbers of students who lined up to register. I was greatly encouraged to hear some of their concerns about what the Republicans would do in trying to get rid of the heathcare bill, social security, college loans, and Medicare. They were certainly much more knowledgable about what the Republicans wanted to do to this country than people who don't read a main stream newspaper and only watch Fox news.
I am amazed that inviduals like Sarah Palin, who has a Downs Syndrome baby, and Sharron Angle who is against healthcare coverage for children with autism, would have anyone even listen to them. Harry Reid who has worked so very hard to get coverage for children with special needs in the healthcare bill is putting up a hard fight against Sharron Angle. What are the voters of Nevada thinking? Do they really want to see the healthcare bill repealed, as well as social security and Medicare? Many of the people in Nevada have lost their homes, their jobs and yet they still don't seem to understand that if the Repulbicans get in power, only the very RICH will benefit from their votes.
Many college students, without wealthy parents, need help from government loans. Our country is already far behind the rest of the industrialized world in science and math and our medical care has slipped way down the list of courntries with good medical care. if only the rich can afford to go to college, medical school, or graduate school we are in BIG trouble.
