When is it time to worry about a fever? Is 102.4 bad for a 14 y.o. girl?

Christina,

 I have been told on many occasions to look at the whole child and not just the fever numbers.  A fever is an indicator that something else is wrong in the body.  Your doctor will likely ask you for other sysmptoms before offering a treatment option.
