what is the difference between stomatitis and oral thrush in toddlers?

i have been looking on the internet about the symptoms of my 3 yr old. and i have reason to belive that she has thrush. but the pediatrician continues to tell me that it is stomatitis. her symptoms have gotten worse and her pediatritian pretty much refuses to see her until about two weeks. she has been running a high fever for six days up and down the highest it has been was 104.5, i am very concerned the ulcers have continued to move down her throat and she is now refusing to eat and it is very hard to get her to drink the pictures that i have seen of thrush look like those of my daughters mouth. and my real question is what is the difference between stomatitis and thrush?
