My 2 year old daughter has the same thing. She hasn't been eating as much as she used to, and seems very tired all the time. Her fever has been up and down for the last 4 days (99.1 to 103.0) We finally took her to the doctor on the 2nd day of her fever and they said that she was too young to recieve any amoxicillin or any anti-biotics. Of course i was a little upset because no one wants to see their little one suffer the way that they do when this occurs. So the doctor proscibed her Lidocaine Viscous 2% (It's supposed to Numb the mouth) so she could eat, & it really seems to help. She also has Children's Advil that i picked up at a local grocery store (over the counter) to lower her fevers & that also seems to help as well, but her fever is still in the high 99 at times.& then when i thought things couldn't get any worse, on the 3rd to 4th day her gums started getting swollen and bleeding..and her teeth began to hurt. The numbing solution's really seem to ease her pain now, but she still feels like crap!So i was doing some research and it says that rinsing out her mouth with Sea Salt and warm water is perfect for this. I have been giving it to her after every meal. All you can do is wait it out & hopefully things turn out for the best. I know it's hard.. but everything is going to be okay!
