Last night Alex and I rushed Alina to A&E because she had developed high fever and was vomiting continuously. We also noticed that her breathing was heavier than usual and she just didn't seem her usual self. Well, the news is that Alina has tonsilitis. Don't ask me how she got's probably a genetic thing as I had it all the time as a child and had to have my tonsils removed. So poor Alina is on penicilin V and has had high fever the whole day today. At one point it spiked to 39.1 which gave me a bit of scare but at least she is not vomiting anymore.
As a precaution last night, they took a chest x-ray to rule out reherniation. She hasn't, which is fantastic and the xray looked so much clearer than previously. Her left lung is small- about 1/3 of her right one- but it seems to be doing a good job so far. Despite two colds and now this tonsilitis business, she hasn't needed any additional oxygen or respiratory support. That a girl!

This past week we've had some fantastic weather and we took the opportunity to spend a lot of time outdoors. We're looking forward to Alina getting better so we can continue playing with our friends.
