So, I know I'm not the only parent out there trying to make practicing sight words more fun. I wanted to make sight word bingo, but didn't really want to make it from scratch. I googled "sight word bingo template" and found a great site that allows you to make all kinds of bingo games. You can choose from all sorts of categories. A few categories are for sight words, divided up by difficulty. I chose the "primer" level. From there you can choose which words you want in your bingo card. And a step or so later you can even add more words that weren't already on the list.
Gavin has mandatory sight words for kindergarten. Garrett actually wants sight words in order to be more like Gavin. So, I chose words that are currently in both Gavin and Garrett's sets of sight word cards. I think they're going to have fun with this.
And since I thought more parents would love to make something like this without reinventing the wheel, I figured it would be nice to share the link. Enjoy!
