We made our first trip to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm this weekend. Garrett had a wonderful time discovering hay. It was fun to watch him let it run through his fingers, looking at it with awe and wonder.
It's hard to catch Gavin smiling at the camera, as he's not so much a fan of the family papparazzi. But, he had a blast when we weren't trying to snap pictures of him. He loaded up about 15 pumpkins in the stroller and honestly thought we'd buy them all. He carefully chose the three pumpkins we did end up keeping.
A beautiful day in the country and fun had by all. It's what you'd imagine a good old-fashioned pumpkin patch in Texas to be. It's out in the country. Pumpkins can be picked right off the vine. Farm animals can be pet and fed. And there's even old tractors and a farm truck for the kids to climb on. We've decided to make this a Smith family tradition!
