our 6 week old daughter has twice stiffened up (both arms and legs) and breathes heavy (kind of panting) and her eyes are zoned out into space. This lasts for about 5-10 min and then she appears fine. She has been diagnosed with reflux and is on Zantac (ranitidine) which seems to help somewhat.
