Last Friday, we headed out to cut down our Christmas tree. A wasn't much help - she was more interested in getting into the tent to warm up and get some cookies! We managed to get the decorations up once we got back on Friday afternoon and we put the tree up Saturday morning. We, then, had to re-do the tree because it fell over Saturday afternoon. EEEK! Anyway, everything is up now. The house is semi-clean for our playgroups this week (one today, another tomorrow). Then we'll get to clean up again for Grandpa Kiwi's arrival.
Oh, we also managed to switch out the queen bed in the guest room for the two twin beds to make it A's "big girl room". I put together her little table and chairs and took everything off the walls in there. Now we have to move/sell the giant armoire, get a bookcase (I like this one: ), paint the walls, paint the dresser, hang the stuff on the walls, etc., etc.
Here are some shots of the tree expedition: Nana and Grandpa Mac's tree - first one they saw!
