my toddler has small sores in his mouth, on his tongue, cheeks, roof & back of mouth. It hurts when he eats anything. Please h

My toddler has small red/white sores on his tongue, roof & back of mouth and cheeks.  He will not eat or drink anything because it hurts to where he screams and crys when he trys anything.  Please advise.
