my 5 year old kid having palatine tonsils, if he is taking any cold item(cool drinks, Ice creem …) or sauce items he is getting high fever with enlarged tonsils. If we are going for surgery will there be any side effect in future.
The tonsils are structures that assist the immune system in processing "tags" on bacteria that identify them as targets. There are other mechanisms in the body that perform the same function so that removing the tonsils have no deleterious side effects.
