My 10-year old son has very large ankle bones that have gotten larger. Now some other bone bumps have appeared. When he was much younger I asked the pediatrician about his large ankle bones and he told me that he was gonna be a big guy when he grew up and that he was like a Great Dane. He would grow into his ankle bones. However he does not have large wrist bones or any other enlarged bones. Now the ankle bones seem much larger in proportion to the rest of his body. And some other bumps (bone?) are protruding from his feet. His knee bones are a bit large but they don't seem abnormal, just a little bigger than most kids. Other wise he is a slim healthy young boy with a red belt in Taekwondo. He does have big wide feet. What should I ask the pediatrician? Should I be concerned if I'm told he'll grow into them again?
