Two days ago I was astounded to see little pawprints all over our car.
I assume they came from a cat, but perhaps it was a baby raccoon or an athletic skunk... or some imaginary downy creature too cute to exist in the visible world. Maybe it even had wings.
The meticulous animal carefully tread in nearby mud, dousing its feet evenly on all sides. Then it bounded up the rear of the car, minced across the trunk, thought about jumping off, but opted to prance up the back window to the roof instead. There, it stood looking about sniffing the air for a moment before padding to the front passenger side, sliding down the window to the handle then pushing off to the ground, or perhaps flying away.
Now tell me... what animal lays tracks so carefully? I sense subterfuge.
