My 5 year old son has been getting small little pimple-like sores on his face for the past 2 months. When they first appear, one at a time, they are just little light red bumps. Then by the 2nd or 3rd day, they "open" at the top, and it's like a small open sore. He says they itch, and so he scratches at them. He has been on Bactriban and oral antibiotics and they just keep coming back.
He's been to the pediatrician's 3 times, saw 3 different dr's each time, and no one seems to really know what it is.
I'm about to lose it!!!
Does anyone have ANY idea what it could be? He had the chicken pox vaccine, and it's not impetigo, as far as we know. He had had a small patch of that right around the same time that this all started.
