is there an average age when a child with cerebral palsy walks ?

I think it depends on the cp, and severity of it.   I have ataxic cp, the doctor's gave my parent's a timeline, if I didn't walk by the time I was   5   I would never walk, I walked when I was 12yrs old.   Im 34 now and walk without assistance.

So, It all depends  on the form of cp

Wow that's uplifting. My daughter is ataxic as well she is 3 and moves a lot but has not yet found her valence for sitting unsupported. She will take steps in the gate trainer. But does not have the strength or valence to hold herself up. She is very motivated and intelligent.
