After an initial burst of enthusiasm and excitement, the voting dropped off and where I was in first place, I'm now dropping fast. The top person has over 600 votes which seems outrageous because who really does go to these sites and vote for blogs? My friend Gretchen, over at Second Blooming , has been shameless in her self-promotion and is inching up on me. Although I must say her recent post about her trip to a water park with her son was brilliantly funny -- the monologue alone of her mother-in-law, which you have to read in an Edith Bunker accent -- is worth giving her a vote instead of me.
