I have the symptoms of hard coughs, tight lungs, and spitting up mucus. Is this serious

like i have wheezing coughs and ythey are really hard.My lungs support me with shortage of breathe every time i try to breathe. lastly, when i cough i spit up mucus which is kind of slimy and yellow and nasty.
