I have a four year old that has frequent bloody noses, this morning he spit up some blood, should i be concerned?

My son has a bloody nose atleast twice a month.  The pediatrician told me that it was very common and that I shouldn't worry about it but, today he actually spit up blood unto the toilet and then started bleeding from his nose. It wasn't a lot of blood or anything but, i am still very concerned.
