You never know when you will run into someone and get to share your testimony.Jackson has needed a haircut for a while now, but we’ve been really busy. We finally had a few minutes today, so we took him to our regular haircut place. When we were leaving, Jon was holding up in a standing position over the prize box. A lady standing nearby asked me “Did he just start walking?” I immediately thought to go on the defensive and I simply responded “He’s 6 (thinking she thought he was younger because he’s so tiny) and he started walking about a year ago, he usually uses a walker, but the casts slows him down” “He was born with an orthopedic condition”. She said “oh, I have a 2 year old with a disability too”. We talked for a good 10-15 minutes, while my wonderful hubby took Jackson to the car. She told me about a mom’s bible study she is a part of and I was able to invite her to our parent’s bible study! It was such a chance encounter, but was totally a “God wink”. She apologized for Jon having to take Jackson and I told her “he’s used to this, we’ve been at it for 6 years”. I so thankful for her speaking up and for us making a connection that could have been passed up.
