Someone recently left a comment about The Princess Alexa Foundation. I love it and have to share!
Alexa was treated here at Children's of Dallas as well, but lost her fight with her brain tumor in June. She loved all things princess, so her parents started The Princess Alexa Foundation, which provides dress-up clothes to seriously ill boys and girls. It's been a hit! And if I understand correctly, they are also raising money to build a pink park as well!
This Saturday, September 26th, there will be a fundraiser in Keller, Texas called Touch A Truck. For only $3 per child, you can get up close and personal with all sorts of different cars and trucks. And the money goes directly to The Princess Alexa Foundation. I understand there will be an ambulance, a fire truck, a police car, a tow truck, a Corvette, a crane, and many more. My boys went to something similar to this a long while back. Garrett was too small to really get it, but Gavin LOVED it.
And attention all girls -- There will be plenty of fun for you there too. The pink limo from Sweet and Sassy will be there, as well as Cinderella, Belle, and Snow White.
Oh, and lest I forget the Twilight fans -- because I know you all are a good-sized group. The red truck that was in THE ACTUAL movie will be there. And it's been autographed by all of the actors in the movie.
Good fun for the kids (and those serious Twilight fans) -- going toward a good cause.
