My daughter has recently started to break out in a rash, around her mouth, eyes, on her stomach and back. The doctors said it could be an allergy but after todays allergy dr visit, they can't find anything shes allergic to. The only thing "new" that i can think of that shes been exposed to is grandparents smoking around her. She has been exposed to this before, but more so here latly. Can second hand smoke cause an itchy rash?
Yes! Second hand smoke can cause a rash. It is an environmental allergy. My 16mth old get's a red rash on his legs and arms when he is around his grandparents ( A Smoking Home) His Dr. told me to make sure if we are going to be around them or in there home to give him and antihistamine. We havn't been back to there home since I found out what was causing his problem, however his rash has completly cleared up.
