What would cause a birth defect in a full term baby where the infant is totally normal from the nipple line up, and then from the rib cage down have no form or skin, just organs hanging exposed. The baby was born alive, but from the nipple line down, he had to be bagged. They let the babu die stating that his defect was not compatable with life? What is the name of this horrible defect, and what causes it? Any info would be helpful.
