My babies belly button cord was a cut off once at birth and a second time by our pediatrician at 5 weeks as the cord was not falling off. At this point (almost 6 weeks) it appears as if the remaining part of her belly button cord is still soft and not falling off.
Is there a medical condition that causes this? Do you have any additional information, advice, etc. regarding the problem?
