I'm sure by now most of you have noticed the quote at the top of our blog. I'm not sure of the exact date that I added the quote, but I do know that it was about a month or two before Gavin was diagnosed with cancer. Just a little foreshadowing of what was to come, I suppose. I am continually learning more about life with each passing day. It's just a shame it takes something as dreadful as cancer for us to wake up and truly appreciate what we have. I felt like I had a pretty good grip on life before cancer joined the family. A wake up call such as this one forces you to take a deeper look at what your priorities are. I hope that each person that happens upon this blog walks away with a deeper appreciation for life and just how quickly it can all change.
