Ten years.
I like the number ten on it's own it doesn't seem that big but when I correlate it with Sloan it seems like such a large number. Where is the time going?
I have been a mom for ten years now which means part of my heart has walked around in her little body for an entire decade. Ten years ago today as they pulled a little life out of my body my world changed, I locked eyes with hers and fell in love with someone I had never officially met.
Tradition says on your birthday in the Pedersen household you choose your birthday dinner; it can be homemade or restaurant bought, but it must be eaten in the home. She chose my homemade lasagna, and cheddar garlic biscuits, so I have been prepping and cooking for my ten year olds dinner and I think she is rather worth it.
Sloan Anais I love that we still hold hands, I love that we still snuggle and I love that even after ten years your daugther hand still fits so perfectly in my Mama hand. You are stubborn yet charming, intelligent, witty and incredibly loving. You are growing up beautifully and you make me proud to be your Mother.
Today is your birthday Sloan and we celebrate your life, we celebrate you gracing the world with your presence for ten entire years. Sloan your presence is so large in this small world and you fill up our lives.
