I think I have mentioned on here before how important my pets are to me! They are like my little therapists. Lately I've been getting weird sensations in my legs and my kitty cats will often sit on my legs or near them, and I can feel the energy and tension released from my legs. I love them for it!! I'm not really sure what this is caused by (Chiari? Hips?), but I'm just glad they can help. At the beginning of 2012 we had 2 cats, a dog, 2 tree frogs and 2 betta fish. Now we are down to 2 cats, 2 fish and a hedgehog. The tree frogs died of some unknown infection and/or parasite. By the time I realized it, it was too late. But, I'd had them for about 5 years so they had a good frog life. We got rid of our dog because she snored like a pig and my son was not too fond of her. She was a nice dog but it was just too much work to take care of her and clean up the copious amounts of hair she left everywhere. Same with the frogs - too much work to feed them live crickets and clean out their cage. It was deadly to my shoulders when I had to clean out the frog cage every 3 mos.! So I decided to splurge and get a hedgehog. I've always wanted one of those cute little buggers! The nice thing is they eat mostly cat food - and there is a lot less stuff for me to clean in his cage. I think it'll work out a lot better. Also my older cat is 12 now and is starting to lose teeth. Twice a day until her next extractions, I have to tackle her and squirt mouthwash into her mouth. Oh how she loves this! Oh how it helps my shoulders! So I usually have my son hold her down while I dispense the spray. My other cat is only 3 so I don't have to do this but I am starting to wonder how much longer I can take care of all these pets. I love 'em but yikes.
