I woke up Wednesday morning and my left hand and my entire right leg were both numb. Thinking that I had slept in a weird position or something, I didn't think a lot of it. Then, as I raised up, I got an intense pain in the back of my head; when I placed my hand on the spot that was hurting, I found a large knot on the back of my head (pictured at right.) I started putting ice on the knot and contacted TCI. They told me that it was probably just fluid that had collected and to watch for fever, discharge, etc. and to keep them posted.
The swelling went down after a few hours and it has not come back; however, the area where the swelling was is still really tender to the touch. I've been trying to take it easy the last couple of days just to be safe. I guess it's just another example of the importance of listening to your body and not overdoing things. On the bright side, look at how much my hair is growing out in the back!
