Ok, ok, I admit it! I have been seriously slacking in the work out department!
However, my really exciting day on Tuesday (welcome home babe!) is no excuse to gain 5 pounds!
So far this week I did Hip Hop Abs on Monday, followed by walking on the treadmill on Tuesday (light walking though, nothing extreme) then the same light walking on Wednesday morning. I did walk for 45 minutes both days.
Last night I went to bed super late so I got up at 6:30 and booked it on the treadmill for 25 minutes. I figured 25 minutes running was better than no minutes at all.
I cooked dinner for my Someone last night- some was good for me to eat- some wasn't. I made instant mashed potatoes with butter and milk (no good for me but the Peanut loved them!). I hate to say it but man, nothing beats instant mashed potatoes. They are so simple to make and they are at least gluten-free. I know homemade is "better" for you- but I "heart" the taste of instant smashed! I also made a simple stir fry veggie dish with zuchinni, summer squash, and tomato... a little bit of oil, pepper, cilantro, and onion (yes strange combo maybe) but Someone said it was a winner.
I also made BBQ chicken by marinating a few pieces of chicken in Annie's Original BBQ sauce and then baking the chicken in the oven for about 28 minutes at 425. Perfect. The chicken was moist, cooked through, and super flavorful. By the way, Annie's Original BBQ sauce IS Gluten and Dairy Free. Random store bought BBQ sauce tends to not be GF/DF, so I always buy Annie's.
Anyway, I had my dessert- a big glass of chocolate almond milk. YUM!
