v  National Celiac Disease Awareness Day is September 13, 2009. The date of September 13 was chosen because it honors the birthday of Samuel Gee, MD a British physician and pediatrician.  Dr. Gee published the first modern description of the clinical picture of celiac disease and is credited with being the first to identify the link between celiac disease and diet.  One of Gee’s famous quotes on celiac disease is “if the patient can be cured at all, it must be by means of diet.”  CSA is again working with Senators Inhofe and Nelson to have Dr. Gee’s birthday, September 13th, nationally recognized as Celiac Awareness Day for the fourth consecutive year.  CeliacAwarenessDay Share with CSA your Awareness Ideas.
v  October 30 to November 1 in Erie, PA – The National Annual CSA Conference and Dietitian Day events are just around the corner.   Those who register early will receive the discount rate. 2009AnnualCSAConference   Making a Difference forum is Thursday afternoon and Exhibits are open.

·         Zeer is now offering this service for just $4.95/mo.  In addition, for each member that joins, Zeer will donate the first month’s subscription fee to the CSA (and the first month’s fee of each subsequent year).
