New Haven’s Own Gluten-Free Chef to Appear on Iron Chef America

This coming Sunday, August 9th, 2009 at 9:00pm ET, John DePuma of DePuma’s Gluten-Free Pasta will step into the kitchen to compete on Iron Chef America on the Food Network.   Connecticut natives, especially those from the Greater New Haven area, are thrilled to see their favorite gluten-free chef appearing alongside his chef mentor, Francois Kwaku-Dongo, Executive Chef at L’Escale in Greenwich, CT.

John DePuma has made quite a name for himself in the gluten-free food world since he launched his business, DePuma’s Gluten-Free Pasta.  A business inspired out of love, DePuma’s Gluten-Free Pasta was born when John decided he would recreate gluten-free raviolis and tortellinis for his wife, Gina, who was diagnosed with celiac disease.  The recipes took some time to perfect, but eventually the pasta hit the market and we all started to enjoy what I can honestly say is the best fresh gluten-free pasta on the market in the United States. 

Tune into Food Network this Sunday to support our own, gluten-free chef, John DePuma.  And maybe have some of his pasta while you watch!
