Legal Sea Foods: A Gloriously Gluten-Free Dinner in Boston

As you can tell in my last post, I was in Boston for the last week for two great events! While I was in Boston I had dinner at several amazing meals, but the best by far was at Legal Sea Foods. I actually eat at the location in Washington, DC all the time, but for some reason the meal and the attitude of the staff was a million times better in Boston!
The evening started with a restaurant manager coming to our table to ensure us that all three of us with celiac would be served safe gluten-free meals that would be prepared in a clean pan and handled with care. It was great to know this upfront! We ordered a calamari appetizer that was AMAZING! It was breaded with chick pea flour and cooked just perfectly!
For dinner, we ordered two different dishes. The Cioppino, which is lobster, scallops, shrimp, calamari, littlenecks, mussels and scrod in a light tomato broth with a side of jasmine rice. The other was a Wood Grilled Assortment with a chef’s selection of three fish plus shrimp and scallops, and two sides. I had brown rice and garlic spinach. Dessert definitely made me cry tears of joy! It was a Pistachio Terrine, which is a pistachio mousse with a flourless chocolate crust. It was truly an incredible dessert. Not too sweet or overwhelming. Just perfect.
Everything was absolutely delicious and I will definitely go to Legal Sea Foods again the next time I'm in Boston!
