Juice Baby Juice

Posted Feb 03 2011 6:00pm

Meet my new baby:

fresh juice 040

the Breville Compact Juice Fountain

As soon as I saw this post over on Edible Perspective I emailed Parrish and asked if there was room in the budget for the purchase. At only $99, I just couldn’t resist! PLUS Ashley had given it such a great review.

For my first juice I chose

two pink lady apples, one peeled lemon, a handful of baby carrots, and one stalk of celery.

This juicer is super easy to use, although when running it sounds a bit like a very quiet vacuum cleaner. Which would be absolutely fine, except that our new rescue pup Hazel is terrified of the vacuum cleaner. So while I was juicing I was able to enjoy a chorus of barking, but hopefully she’ll get used to it.

Plus the result

was definitely something to bark about! Sweet, tart, and refreshing! It’s amazing the difference between fresh juice and bottled juice. It’s lighter and smoother. Fresher and brighter.

And I know I’ve read that a few bloggers write about how they can’t drink the foam BUT

I Love it!

And in all honesty, the clean up wasn’t all that bad.

It took about two minutes.

Max was very interested.

But ultimately passed when I explained that there were no snausages in the drink.
