Since i just did a trip around europe (11 countries, 18 days!) i thought i might include a few tips and also acknowledge some places and people who were really helpful (and so that were not so!)
In switzerland I went to a small village called Lauterbrunnen and staying in the caravan park there. In the two nights we stayed the family who ran it cooked us delicious authentically swiss meals. I had resigned myslef to the fact i would have to sit through an evening of whatching my friends having fun dipping bread into cheese fondue, so i was thrilled when a plate of potato chunks was put down in front of me! i quickly scooped out a pile of cheese onto my plate before the bread dunking began and had just as much fun as everyone else! The next night she had made me my own swiss sausage and rosti! And i had no reaction at all to either meal!
