![]() A Healing Crisis that is:) This week I spoke to a lady that has a natural pharmacy about my intestinal issues. I explained to her all the test I have been through, all of my symptoms and my desire to feel better. This lady does hair analysis, nutritional consulting and has the pharmacy called 'Nature's Specialist'. I called her at the request of my mother who had been to her before. I have heard many stories about how this lady has been able to help so many people. I just woke up one morning feeling sick and tired of being sick and tired and decided it wouldn't hurt to talk to her. She was very kind to talk with me over the phone free of charge and tell me what she thought would help. The first thing she said was that I really needed a time of healing my body. So, she recommended what is called Super Critical Probiotics for 7 days and then go to what is called a Critical Care Probiotic. The super critical probiotics have 200 BILLION good bacteria!! That's a lot of good bugs! Then I will go to 50 billion. It is my understanding that most if not all intestinal disorders start due to a messed up balance of gut flora. We should have about 85% good bacteria and about 15% bad bacteria in the gut. When this gets reversed or out of whack, things can go haywire. I started the probiotics on Tuesday night and let me tell you--there has been a war going on in my gut between the good and the bad bacteria! I didn't realize that I could feel worse before I feel better. I have had major headaches, fatigue, mood swings and muscle and joint aches. I then read last night about having a Healing Crisis. This means the good guys are working and my body is just trying to get rid of the bad stuff. This is encouraging even though it has not been fun. At least now I know what is going on:) You'll also notice some stuff in the picture called Iberogast. This is to replace my perscription medicine with a natural alternative. The stuff the Dr. perscribed makes me feel really tired and sluggish. The Iberogast doesn't do that and I can use it every hour if needed. It doesn't have the best taste, but it's better than putting something unnatural in my body that has side affects. It is used to help keep the intestinal walls relaxed and prevent spasms. So far, it seems to be working and I am not having to use it as much as I could. For some reason during this healing, my appetite has also increased. I'm not sure why, but I think I need to lighten up a bit to give my body a better chance to heal. I have been reading a book called 'Digestive Wellness' by Elizabeth Lipski. In it she says: "By assisting your body in the removal of stored toxins through detoxification programs, your body can more easily heal itself." She recommends a 7-10 day fruit and vegetable cleanse. I'm not sure I will go that strict, but I am definately going to make sure I am eating simple and very 'clean' foods. I will eat lots of fruit and veggies, but I think I will also include some homemade goat yogurt and some eggs for protein. |
