So I decided to start a few days early on the challenge. Nothing like getting ahead of myself...or trying to kick my own butt while working out! On Monday- I got up early to do some Yoga Booty Ballet- Latin Flavor! Now if you have done the normal Yoga Booty Ballet DVDs and are looking for a really fun way to literally shake your booty- give this one a shot! I love the Latin Flavor workout, not for it's technically correct steps (because...they really aren't- but who cares?) but for its ability to get your heart pumping and your body ready to go in the morning. And it gives me a pretty good ab workout too! Anyone who knows me, knows I am NOT a morning person. I do not speak before 7 a.m. I am hardly even UP before that time! And yet for the challenge I have decided to get in an extra workout before I go to work in the morning to give my metabolism a boost for the day. Hopefully, this will work at least 2 or 4 days a week- but I am shooting for 4! So Monday night when I got home from work I was ready for another workout. This time, I chose Hip Hop Abs Fat Burning Cardio (Level 1) This is a 30 minute workout with all the fun basic HHA cardio moves. I jazz it up a bit- doing Tilt, Tuck & Tighten while he is explaining a move. Or doing Kick up to tempo from the very beginning for the sequence... extra cals burned this way! My heart rate got up there and I was pumped for my next step- the Ab Scuplt Level 2! I've never done this one! I have the Level 2 DVD, but have only done the Cardio workout from it.
Dang was I in for a treat... or I should say- butt kicking! It was INTENSE! I loved it! I think the Row the Boat was my favorite move. And I really started sweating at the end for the plank ab work.
All in all, this was a great start to the challenge- I have to keep this up, you'll be able to bounce a quarter off my abs! Is that a good goal to have???
