It's been steady on in the last couple of days. Full of running, Turbo Jam, and a little Hip Hop Abs mixed in there too!
On Sunday I managed to run outside. I did an hour long trek that led me to the downtown area of my town. Pretty sleepy on a Sunday morning, but it was peaceful. Except when I got to rescue two dogs! I was (slowly) jogging along a main street when I saw two beautiful dogs ahead of me. No leash and no human nearby. I knew they had to be runaways because even in our sleepy town we have a leash law. They dangerously weaved in and out of traffic until I caught up with them. I looked across the street and called them over. They came trotting right over. Their names were Bruce (he was a black short haired dog) the other was Karibu (a bigger brown haired dog) Both very friendly and both had tags!!! I learned they traveled a long way from where I was. They were from the next town over, but in the middle of no where in the next town over- not on the edges where you could quickly get to it! I was shocked these babies had made it that far! I called the police (I always carry my cell phone on runs) and they quickly came down and picked up the pooches. I would have taken them home myself, but my cats would have had heart attacks.
So down to the workouts! Saturdays' workout was a 45 minute jog on the treadmill along with Hip Hop Abs cardio level 1. Nothing like a nice long workout to start off the weekend right! Followed by a day of cleaning and this was the perfect day for a "tea party" filled with snacks and goodies.
On Sunday after my miraculous animal rescue I came home and did the 20 minute Turbo Jam workout. I felt exhausted after jogging outside for an hour and then TJ. But I managed to kill all my efforts during the backyard BBQ we had that afternoon, so I didn't feel too bad!
Monday - RUN RUN RUN in the AM; Hip Hop Abs Cardio Level One after work, and then off to dance class! A lot of working out today- but it felt great!
Dance class went well, I really like how a 45 minute lesson filled with cha-cha leaves me more winded than a long run. But I guess it's all about your muscles being used to certain movements, and I haven't been to dance since before my wisdom teeth were pulled.
Tuesday - Turbo Jam in the AM! I did the 20 minute workout and about 20 minutes of the Turbo Sculpt DVD. I wanted to do the entire Sculpt, but I had to go to work at some point. My body was achey and tired so when I got home I did some simple yoga stretches to ease myself into a more flexible state.
TODAY? I SLEPT IN! Well deserved morning rest thank you very much! I was feeling the burn from yesterdays workout and wanted to sleep late!
