Although this Apple Walnut Charoset recipe is traditionally a Passover treat, I always make it during Hanukkah as a side dish. It takes only a few minutes to put together and gives our table an added sweetness and of course, a serving of fruit.
Apple Walnut Charoset
Yield: 6 servings
2 red apples 2 green apples 1 cup walnut halves, coarsely chopped ½ cup sweet red wine (Manishewitz) 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
In a large bowl gently stir together all ingredients.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
