Get Ready for Gluten Free Camping/Backpacking

Well here it is June and we are all heading into the summer travel season. If you are planning a camping trip why not take along a package or two of Astoria Mills Enriched breads and pizza mixes. Both \mix #5 and \mix#6 can be made without eggs. Just add a tablespoon of ground flax seeds or ground Salba seeds to the mix and increase the water a bit. You can mix up in the Am, backpack all day, cook like bannock over an open fire at night for fresh hearty and healthy gluten free bread. Turn it into a sweet, just add raisins to the batter, fry in a bit of oil and roll in cinnamon sugar. You will bring the other wheat eating campers around asking to try some too. You can’t beat the fragrance of freshly baked bread on a campfire!
