Friday Favorites–First Edition

Happy Friday friends!

I don’t know about you guys, but for me, this week has FLOWN by! I worked this past weekend and took Monday as my day off, so all week I felt like I was a day behind. Yesterday felt like Wednesday, so it was a nice surprise when I kept being closer to the weekend than I thought!

Since today is Friday (not Thursday) I thought I would share some of my favorite things from this past week!

Favorite Text Message

Parrish has been out of town, so yesterday I sent him this picture and caption:

“I don’t think I look pregnant”

Favorite Summer Soup

I bought this soup forever ago at the local farmer’s market and finally got around to eating it yesterday. Why in the world did it take me so long?!

Tangy Cabbage & Spinach – yes please!

So delicious. I enjoyed the soup chilled, which was perfect timing because we’re right in the middle of a heat wave here in Durham.

Honestly, between lemonade, salt & vinegar almonds, and this soup, I would be surprised if Baby Ravelli didn’t come out of the womb all puckered up! This baby LOVES sour!

Favorite Breakfast

Currently I get to enjoy two treats in the morning: First Breakfast & Second Breakfast. I eat First Breakfast within five minutes of waking up to help ease morning nausea. My favorite this week:

Udi’s Gluten Free Cinnamon Raisin Bread with a smidge ton of butter.

My favorite second breakfast:

Udi’s Millet Chia Bread topped with avocado, bacon, cabot cheese shreds, and an over easy egg.

I was BEYOND thrilled when my mid-wife told me that I could in fact continue to enjoy over-easy eggs. And while I can’t cook it myself – the smell of cooking eggs is DEATH for me right now – I did enjoy this breakfast three times this week!

Favorite Hydration

I shared this new favorite – 365 Coconut Water – on Instagram yesterday (glutenhatesme). I’ve been having trouble with 24-32 hour headaches on days after I exercise. Most likely due to dehydration, I was having trouble getting enough water in. So I added Coconut Water in addition to my gallon of tap water and it has really helped.

I love the Whole Foods brand – and the price is just right!
