Hi Kim,
Altered stool color doesn't automatically cause concern; the are many common reasons for different colors. The digestive process causes color changes, as does food. These changes can relate to food, supplements, antacids, or medications being taken (ones containing beta-carotene can cause orange).
However, frequent diarrhea, sudden and painful stomach cramps indicate something else is going on that you should consult your physician about.
Benign color changes in stool (orange) can be caused by carrots, sweet potatoes, winter squash, pumpkin, and also some green vegetables (kale, collard greens, spinach). But because of your other symptoms, I suggest to see your doctor.
