Visit 6 days a week and spend dinner hour with Wayne, helping him eat. It’s amazing how some days he picks up his cutlery and uses it and the next has no clue what to do.
After dinner, about 6pm, I give him a 100% sponge bath, even the soles of his feet. He gets owly with staff sometime and I’d rather do it and have him happy. Never gives me a difficult time.
His very expensive prescription eyeglasses have been missing for several weeks and the nurse just called – they had been found in another patient’s bedside table – actually she had quite the collection of goodies belonging to others.
Will try to get thru reading blogs soon – when I visit, it’s very hands on so don’t get to read or do anything except take care of Wayne.
So life goes on and sorry haven’t posted.
