Vegus nerve syndrome

My boyfriend has Vegus nerve syndrome, where he has attacks and he throws up ans has diahrea and stomach convulsions and passes out and loses all motor skill functions. Now his attacks are very different he does not throw up or anything he just has very intense stomach convulsions. What is going on?? I am very scared.

Dear Kaylat09,

The vagus nerve controls the movement of food from the throat to the digestive tract. But, I am not a medical practitioner so I cannot tell what specifically is wrong with your boyfriend.

If the doctor who originally diagnosed this is not helping him, please seek help from another doctor. Please urge your boyfriend to find a doctor now who will help him.

Thank you for your help he now has an appointment with a specialist who will hopefully help him and give me more answers!
