Prescription drug costs continue to soar. On top of that co-pays are also rising.
This year our co-pay went from $30 to $40 a prescription. A whopping 33 percent increase.
Here is one lesson I learned several years ago. Buy a pill that is twice the daily dosage and split it -- cut it in half. Of course, it is a good idea to ask the doctor if the pill can be cut before embarking on this strategy.
