On Monday, the fellows did the stairs in the dark walnut. I was worried somebody/everybody would “walk off into a dark hole”. No worries, I stained the nosings (edges?) just a slight shade lighter than the floor. The contrast is great - just enough to show stairs.
Amazingly, he maneuvers the stairs but still trips and stumbles down into the living room. As he approaches the living room, I always say, “Watch the steps.” It helps.
Kind of sweet, when we have guests, he says that to them.
Update: He slept 19 hours yesterday. Back to bed at 10pm and is still sleeping. I’ll get him up around 11 today if he’s still asleep.
