New experiences at any age

There’s a nice story at Caring Today when Debbie decide that her dad might benefit from a senior daycare center. She likens the experience to the first day of school:

On the appointed day, I got Dad ready and off we went, hand in hand. I was reminded of my first day of kindergarten. I‘d been scared, worried that I wouldn’t have friends, that I would miss home. I figured that Dad would be feeling the same.

New experiences can be stressful, it’s always good to have someone to share them with no matter your age.
