I’m not complaining, it’s nice to help someone out. Most times they thank me, other times they “correct” me. “You’ll have to remember I take 2 sugars and one cream.”
“Yes, Ma’am!”
Was delighted to see a wondrous change in a lady tonight. Often she just sobs and asks to go to her room. Tonight, as normal as can be. (As only AD allows) She related stories about what she likes to cook, her family history and laughed a lot. You go, B, and I hope tomorrow is just as wonderful for you.

Wayne’s care aide came to bathe him and I offered to change his bed for her – a small thing but when you are busy, I’m sure it helps a lot. Anyway, I was just putting the flat sheet on when he emerged from the bathroom.

“Need some help?” I agreed and as I mitered the corner, he smoothed the sheet with great exaggeration. Looked up to see his smile of old, grinning, no, smirking at me. “Is that good?”

Years ago, he’d sweep his arm across the sheet to mimic me. Funny how these things pop up – they are sweet little memories.
